Course ranked one of the MOST LIKELY to qualify for Boston in THE NATION!

The Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon is 26.2 miles of mountain and beachfront scenery. Starting in beautiful downtown Ojai California, the course begins at just over 700 ft.  and gradually descends to sea-level over 18 miles, and finishing near the historic Ventura, California Pier. The course is a lightning fast, USATF sanctioned Boston Marathon Qualifier (CA14064RS). Space is limited so don’t wait and miss out. We have sold out every year months early!!!

Each finisher will receive a medal with the race logo. The top 5 overall male and female finishers, and age group winners will receive awards in 5 year increments.


Each entrant will receive a technical fiber running shirt featuring the race logo.


Each competitor will be professionally chip timed.

 Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon Pace Team:

Pace groups will be led as follows: 3:03, 3:13, 3:23, 3:33,3:38, 3:43, 3:53, 4:08, 4:23, 4:38, 4:53.

Pace groups are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed

Post-Race Party:

After the race, everyone can celebrate at the Ventura Promenade Park for the awards ceremony, music, beer garden, race day expo, and more!

Start Line Shuttle:

Each competitor will be assigned a shuttle time before the race. The shuttle leaves from Downtown Ventura  on Santa Clara St. and Junipero (see parking map)to the Marathon start line in Ojai.  The trip is approximately 20 minutes. Shuttles will begin to run at 4:00am. There will be limited parking near the start line, however a shuttle will not be provided after the race from the finish to the start. Be sure to arrive at least 30 min prior to your shuttle time to give you enough time to find a space, and walk to the shuttles.


THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE VENTURA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS but there are more than 2000 free parking spaces in the near area. Be sure to arrive at least 30 min prior to your shuttle time to give you enough time to find a space, and walk to the shuttles.

Being Dropped off or driving yourself?

Head North on Hwy 33 until Hwy 33 and Hwy 150 branch away from each other. Take slight Right onto Hwy 150. Continue into Downtown Ojai. Road closure for event
starts at Ventura St. Take Left onto Ventura St and immediate Right onto Matillija St.  Athlete drop off zone is between Signal St and Montgomery St. Do not park, simply let runners out and continue driving. Be courteous to other runners and
drivers. DO NOT PARK in drop off zone for any reason!!!!  Then turn left onto Montgomery St followed by a left onto Grand. From there follow detour signs to get back to Venturaojai start

Unclaimed Packet Sale-

Have any friends that didn’t get in before the sell out? Any packets not picked up by 7 pm on Sat May 28, 2016 will be sold on a first come first serve basis.  So tell your friends they might be able to still get in.

We encourage our participants be eco conscious.  An easy way to do so is to carpool.  Please utilize our facebook page to connect with one another.

Start Line Bag Drop:

There will be a bag drop at the start line. We will provide one standard grocery sized clear bag per participant (NOTE- ONLY RACE SUPPLIED BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED IN BAG DROP). Please mark your bag legibly with your first name, last name, and most importantly, bib number. Your bag can be retrieved at the finish line area.Fast Green Racing and the Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon & Half are not responsible for lost or stolen items at the bag drop.
