*not counting Boston of courseThe Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon is 26.2 miles of mountain and beachfront scenery. Starting in beautiful Ojai, California, the course begins at just over 700 ft. and gradually descends to sea-level over 18 miles, and finishing near the historic Ventura, California Pier. The course is a lightning fast, USATF sanctioned Boston Marathon Qualifier (CA13037RS). The Marathon is limited to the first 1500 entrants.

Each finisher will receive a medal with the race logo made of recycled materials. The top 5 overall male and female finishers, the top 3 masters male and female finishers, and age group winners will receive special eco-friendly awards in 5 year increments.
Each entrant will receive a recycled technical fiber running shirt featuring the race logo.
Each competitor will be professionally chip timed by Gemini Timing.
- This year we will add two honesty timing mats along the course for splits.
Pace groups will be led as follows: 3:05, 3:15, 3:25, 3:35, 3:45, 3:55, 4:10, 4:25, 4:40, 4:55
After the race, everyone can celebrate at the Ventura Promenade Park for the awards ceremony, music, beer garden, race day expo, and more!
Start Line Shuttle:
Each competitor will be assigned a shuttle time before the race. The shuttle leaves from Downtown Ventura on Santa Clara St. and Junipero (see parking map)to the Marathon start line in Ojai. The trip is approximately 20 minutes. Shuttles will begin to run at 4:00am. There will be limited parking near the start line, however a shuttle will not be provided after the race from the finish to the start. Be sure to arrive at least 30 min prior to your shuttle time to give you enough time to find a space, and walk to the shuttles.
THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE VENTURA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS but there are more than 2000 free parking spaces in the near area. Be sure to arrive at least 30 min prior to your shuttle time to give you enough time to find a space, and walk to the shuttles.

Being Dropped off or driving yourself?
There is very limited parking at Nordhoff High school. You will need to find your own way back up to your vehicle and it is up to you to find a suitable and legal spot to park.

VIP Race Morning Packet Pick-Up:
VIP Packet Pickup will occur at your respective start lines. Simply board your predetermined shuttles and proceed to the VIP pickup booth for your packets.
There is an extra $20 fee to pick up your packet race day morning. If you do not sign up for VIP race morning packet pickup, your packet will not be there.
We encourage our participants be eco conscious. An easy way to do so is to carpool. Please utilize our facebook page to connect with one another.
Start Line Bag Drop:
There will be a bag drop at the start line. We will provide one standard grocery sized clear bag per participant (NOTE- ONLY RACE SUPPLIED BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED IN BAG DROP). Please mark your bag legibly with your first name, last name, and most importantly, bib number. Your bag can be retrieved at the finish line area.Fast Green Racing and the Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon & Half are not responsible for lost or stolen items at the bag drop.
